‘One cannot live with equality and self-esteem as a Hindu, hence  Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism and Lingayatism emerged’ : Priyank Kharge

Anti-Hindu statement by Karnataka Congress Govt’s Minister Priyank Kharge

Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – It is not possible to live with equality and self-esteem in Hindu Dharma; that is why Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism and Lingayatism emerged in our country, said Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge. He was speaking at a press conference here.

Priyank Kharge further said that these 4 religions were born against Hindu Dharma. If this is the case, was Basaveshwara a traitor ? Was he anti-Hindu ?

Editorial Perspectives

  • Kharge has a mouth but no brains; hence he’s blabbering. Kharge must be awarded for this extraordinary discovery.
  • Jainism and Sikhism are the religions within Hindu Dharma, while Lingayatism is a sect within Hindu Dharma. Lingayatismis not a separate religion. Those who do not know this, make such ridiculous statements. Such statements are creating hatred in the society. A case should be registered against such people.
  • Jainism and Sikhism are within Hindu Dharma. There are examples wherein some people in the family follow Sikhism, while others in the same family practice Hindu Dharma. Those who know that Jains never consider themselves separate from Hindu Dharma, would never make such a statement.
