Hindus in Pakistan celebrate Maha Kumbha festival, take a holy dip while chanting ‘Har Har Mahadev’

Islamabad – The Maha Kumbha Mela in Prayagraj has become a global topic of discussion. During this sacred period, millions of devotees from across the world are taking a dip in the Ganga. However, due to visa-related issues, Hindus from Pakistan are unable to participate. To overcome this, Hindus in Pakistan have organised a separate Maha Kumbha Mela, where they are expressing their devotion by bathing in water mixed with the sacred Ganga water.

Pakistani YouTuber Harchand Ram has shared a video of this unique celebration on his blog. This Maha Kumbha Mela is being held in the Rahim Yar Khan District of Pakistan. Since the holy dip in the Ganga holds great significance in the Maha Kumbha Mela, sacred water from the Ganga has been brought from India and mixed into a local pond. Devotees are taking a dip in this water to experience the spiritual essence of the Ganga snan.

A devotee stated that although visiting Prayagraj is not possible, bathing in the Ganga water here provides the same spiritual experience.
