Assistance of 25 lakh each announced for the family members of the deceased

Prayagraj – Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath informed that they have formed a 3-member judicial inquiry commission to conduct a thorough investigation into the stampede accident during the Maha Kumbha. Former judge Harsh Kumar will chair this inquiry commission, while former Director General V.K. Gupta and retired IAS D.K. Singh will be part of the commission. This commission will submit its report within the time limit. The Police will also conduct a thorough investigation into the causes of this accident. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced assistance worth Rs 25 lakh each to the families of the deceased.

Former Justice Harsh Kumar, the chairperson of the commission told the media that the judicial inquiry into the stampede accident will be completed within the given time limit. The Government gave one month to complete the investigation and to submit the report. Reportedly, the commission will visit the scene on January 31st.
