(Mazar refers to a Muslim grave)

Illegal building built on mazari

Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh) – An illegal permanent structure was built on a mazar in Ganeshpur village, Bareilly. Cement pillars were installed, and a 20-foot-high building was constructed during the night. A complaint regarding this was filed by BJP MP Chhatrapal Singh Gangwar, following which the administration initiated an inquiry and issued notices to the accused Muslims.

1. According to reports, the mazar in Ganeshpur village was part of a graveyard that had tombs over 30 to 40 years old. In January 2025, a roof was added to the illegal structure built during the night. No permissions were sought from the administration, nor were they informed. BJP MP Chhatrapal Singh Gangwar discovered the incident while passing through the village, gathered details, and brought the matter to light.

2. The Sub-Divisional Magistrate ordered an inquiry into the matter. Upon investigation, the construction was found to be illegal. Immediate orders were issued to demolish the structure.

3. The Police have registered a case under sections related to disturbing public peace against 100 Muslims from the village.

Editorial Perspectives

  • How did the administration remain inactive while such large-scale illegal construction was taking place ? The fanatic Muslims exploit the indifference of the administration and dare to engage in Land Jihad.
  • This incident shows how emboldened such elements have become in Uttar Pradesh, even under the pro-Hindutva Government of Yogi Adityanath. Strict legal action is essential to deter them.
