Prayagraj (UP) – People are criticising airlines for the skyrocketing airfares to the Prayagraj. The Union Government is making efforts to reduce the airfares. The civil aviation ministry has said, “We are taking steps to rationalise the ticket prices for Prayagraj. We are increasing the number of flights to meet the requirement of Maha Kumbha air traffic.” According to current rules, the Government does not control airfares. The airlines operate independently.
Editorial PerspectiveMere instructions do not make any difference. The airlines have not reduced airfares even by a single rupee. The Government’s instructions have been thrown in the dustbin. This shows the arrogance of these companies. If the Government takes efforts positively, the people will get some respite. |
