Airfares hiked by a whopping 10 times

Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) – It is estimated that 10 crore devotees will come to Prayagraj for the Amrit Snan on Mouni Amavasya during the ongoing Maha Kumbha in Prayagraj. Devotees are coming here from all over the country. Due to this, a huge crowd in the buses and trains are coming towards Prayagraj. As the demand for flight tickets has increased by 10 times, the ticket prices have also reached 6-digits.
Tickets for the ’round trip’ from Chennai to Prayagraj have reached Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh. On the 29th of January, the flight from Chennai to Prayagraj via Mumbai (one-stop flight) will arrive at 1:14 p.m. and will depart for Chennai at 2 p.m. on 30th January. For this, the passenger will have to pay a whopping Rs 1.13 lakh.

Air tickets from the capital Delhi to Prayagraj on airlines like ‘Air India’, ‘Akasa Air’, ‘Indigo’ and ‘SpiceJet’ have gone from Rs 50,000 to Rs 70,000. Due to ‘flexi fare’, the airfare can go up to Rs 1 lakh.
