
Prayagraj – In view of the increasing crowd of devotees in the Kumbha Kshetra on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya, the Police have issued an alert to all the Akhadas. The Superintendent of Police’s office has issued an instruction to all the Akhadas not to allow strangers to stay in the Akhadas.
As the Mauni Amavasya is approaching, the number of devotees coming to the Kumbha Kshetra to take holy bath at Triveni Sangam is increasing. Many of these devotees are associated with Akhadas and various religious institutions. Devotees associated with Akhadas and spiritual institutions are going to the accommodation facilities of Akhadas or spiritual institutions; but the Police have instructed to identify if any strangers are accompanying them. The Police have instructed the Akhadas to be vigilant in this regard. Earlier, some fanatic Muslims have threatened to attack the Maha Kumbha Mela. Hence, the Police are remaining alert as a precautionary measure.
