Indian youth will be prepared to lead the global economy through this university
Mumbai – The country’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI) University will be set up in Maharashtra, announced Ashish Shelar, the Minister for Information and Technology.
He stated:
- Education and technology will play a crucial role in achieving the ‘Developed India 2047 Mission’ objectives and advancing India towards a $5 trillion economy. To this end, the country’s first Artificial Intelligence University will be set up in Maharashtra.
- The decision to set up the AI University will be a historic move by the Maharashtra Government.
- This project will be implemented with the cooperation of the Ministry of Higher and Technical Education under the leadership of Minister Chandrakant Patil. The university will equip students and young professionals with the necessary skills to drive the technology revolution and industrial advancements inspired by modern technological progress.
- A special task force has been formed for this initiative. The policy framework for the university will be designed under the leadership of Information and Technology Minister Ashish Shelar.
- Maharashtra will lead in the field of technology. Our Government is committed to transforming education with technology to build future-ready skilled manpower, ensuring bright opportunities for students and fostering innovative concepts.
- As highlighted in the Mahayuti Government’s election manifesto, this university will be a hub for cutting-edge research and skill development. It will prepare Indian youth to lead the global economy with expertise in artificial intelligence.
