Russia reacts to US President Trump’s appeal to stop the war

Moscow (Russia) – “President Vladimir Putin has already made statements about stopping the war; but if the war is to be stopped, Ukraine will have to be ready for it. We are waiting for that. Russia is ready for talks on equal terms,” responded Russia to the new US President Donald Trump’s call to stop the Ukraine-Russia war. Trump has also warned of sanctions on Russia if the war is not stopped.

President Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that there is nothing new in Trump’s threat to impose sanctions and tariffs on Russia. Trump likes such methods. At least during his first term, he certainly liked them.
