Prayagraj – Many devotees are flocking to participate in the ongoing Maha Kumbha Mela. This year modern technology is being used to count the number of devotees visiting Maha Kumbha. The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath government has used AI powered CCTV cameras. These cameras can estimate the number of devotees at Triveni Sangam. A special team is keeping a tab on the bathers per hour, on all 48 Ghats of Prayagraj.
From time to time, the congestion at the ghats is being assessed, the drones are monitoring overcrowding at specific sites. A special app is helping to count the number of devotees at the Sangam through their mobile phones. Local intelligence team is also monitoring the crowd. Along with technology assisted counting, the accurate number of devotees taking holy dip in the Ganga in Maha Kumbha Mela, is also being recorded. So far, more than 6 crore devotees have already taken bath in the holy Triveni Sangam here.
