Hundreds of Yajnas to take place in Mahakumbhanagari

Prayagraj (UP) – On 13 th January, the Kumbha Snan (holy bath) will take place, followed by the first Royal Bath (Shahi Snan) on 14 th January in the Mahakumbhanagari Prayagraj. Along with bathing rituals, yajnas, spiritual practice, and anushthan hold great significance at the Kumbha Mela. Many akhadas, religious sects, and Saints have organised hundreds of yajnas at the event. Currently, discourses and story recitations are being held in large tents of the Saints. The yajnas will begin from 13 th January.
Some key yajnas include the Bagalamukhi Yajna at Panchayati Niranjani Akhada, yajnas by Tulsi Peethadishwar Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Maharaj, Swami Avimukteshwaranand, Saint Balakdas Maharaj, Swami Maheshanand Giri, and Shankar Dev Chaitanya Brahmachari. Large temporary yajna halls (pandals) have been built using bamboo and sticks. The sacred environment of the Kumbha will be filled with the fragrance of havan offerings and the chanting of mantras. Devotees will receive spiritual benefits from these grand yajnas, which will also purify the environment.
Yajna for the liberation of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir

Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Maharaj will perform a special yajna with 300 acharyas (priests) offering sacrifices in 251 yajna kundas for the liberation of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The yajna will be conducted with the intention of hastening the liberation of PoK. This yajna will continue until 13 th February.
Bagalamukhi Mahayajna
On 13 th January at 5.30 am, ‘Maa Bagalamukhi Maha Yajna’ will be performed at Shri Panchayati Shri Niranjani Akhada. This Mahayajna will last for 1,008 hours and will continue until 26th February.
Yajna to pay homage to the martyrs of the Armed Forces
For the first time at the Maha Kumbha, a Mahayajna will be organised to pay tribute to the martyrs of the armed forces. This yajna will be conducted by ‘Ati Vishnu Maha Yajna Seva Samiti’ under the guidance of Saint Rambalakdas Maharaj. 108 yajna kundas have been set up for this purpose. The organising committee has invited 700 families of military personnel to attend. The yajna will be held on Harishchandra Marg.
Yajna for cow protection

A large yajna hall with 324 kundas for cow protection has been set up at the camp of Swami Avimukteshwaranand. This is the largest yajna hall in the Maha Kumbha. The central part of the hall has a 9-storey structure made of bamboo and sticks, symbolising the Navadurgas.
Ati Rudra Mahayajna of 111 kundas
Under the guidance of Swami Maheshanand Giri, 151 priests will perform the 111-kunda Ati Rudra Mahayajna from 21st to 28th February. This will be held at the Someshwar Dham Navchandi Ashram camp.
Mahayajna for the welfare of the universe
From 14 th January to 12 th February, a 108-kunda yajna will be held, where 1,100 priests will offer oblations for world peace. This yajna will be conducted at the camp of Shri Ram Lochan Swaroop Brahmachari Baba Lilautinath.
