Be cautious to avoid fraud while making online reservations for hotels, Dharamshalas, etc. : Police appeal

Prayagraj (UP) – Devotees from across the country and abroad are expected to arrive for the Mahakumbh Mela starting on 13th January. To accommodate themselves, devotees are making online bookings for stays in hotels, dharamshalas, or tents. However, it has come to light that fraudsters are tricking devotees by creating fake websites that offer bookings under the names of hotels, dharamshalas, and other accommodations. Therefore, the Police have appealed to the public to be cautious while making online bookings for hotels, dharamshalas, etc. The Police have taken action against 54 such fake websites and shut them down.
