Hindus appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the restoration of the temple
Meerut (Uttar Pradesh) – Similar to that in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, a 42-year-old temple has been found in Meerut as well. In the Muslim-majority area Shahagasa of the city, a Pipleshwar Shiva Temple exists, which has been closed since 1982. Currently, it is in a completely dilapidated condition. There is also a well near the temple, which has been locked by the administration. There is no way to reach the upper part of the temple. Hindus still worship at the lower part of the temple.

Hindus demand to renovate the temple
Hindus want the temple to be restored and rebuilt. Everyone wants this temple, which has been deserted for years, to be restored and worship to begin. People have appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that when deserted temples are being opened from Ayodhya to Sambhal, this historic temple should also be restored.
Why was the temple closed 42 years ago ?The administration has locked the temple and the decision to open or close the temple is up to the administration, say the Muslims nearby. In 1982, a priest named Rambhole was killed while performing aarti here. After this, riots broke out in Meerut. Since then, the temple has been closed. The temple case went to the Court. The Muslim persons, who had gone to the Court, are no longer alive. Although the Hindus won in the Court, those have also died now. For this reason, the temple is closed and is in a dilapidated state. |
