‘I am one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas’ : Kharge

Outrageous statement by Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge

New Delhi – “I am Hindu, my name is Mallikarjun Kharge. I am one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas. My father has given me this name,” stated Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge in a public meeting held at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on December 1st. With this statement, Kharge compared himself to Jyotirlinga. BJP has criticized this.

Kharge further said,

1. The BJP Government is trying to create a divide in the society by surveying the mosques in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is trying to prevent people from uniting by allowing such surveys. (The survey is not being ordered by PM Modi, but by a Court which is one of the four pillars of democracy. Note that Kharge, who is knowingly lying about this, is the National President of Congress – Editor).

2. Are BJP leaders going to destroy buildings like Red Fort, Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar, Char Minar ? Because these buildings have been erected by Muslims. (Who told this to Kharge ? There is a dispute about these buildings too. These are the places built by Hindu kings and there are numerous proofs of this in history. They are now being presented in the Courts by Hindus. The Archeology Survey of India itself has displayed boards mentioning that the Qutub Minar was built after demolishing 27 Hindu and Jain temples. Kharge is lying when these facts are in public. Hindus should complain about this and register a crime against him – Editor).

3. Surveys are being conducted all over the country. Attempts are being made to find temples under the mosques. A voice is being raised against it. In the year 2023, Sarsanghachalak Mohan Bhagwat had said, ‘Our aim is only to build Ram Mandir. We should not search for a Shiva linga under every mosque’; but the Modi Government’s actions are contrary to Bhagwat’s speech. (Actually Modi Government is not doing anything but it is the Hindu organizations and leaders who are demanding the survey in the Courts and Kharge should remember that this right is given to them by the Constitution – Editor).

Congress should apologize : BJP

BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala released a video and said that insulting the faith of Hindus is the hallmark of the Congress party. Congress first insulted Shriram. The Congress called the ceremony held in honour of Shriram Lalla in the Ayodhya temple as ‘naach-gana’(entertainment programme). Congress is raising questions on the existence of Shriram. Now Congress National President Mallikarjuna Kharge is insulting Deity Shiva. Kharge has compared himself to 12 Jyotirlingas. I want to ask, can Congress make such a comment for any other religion ? For the vote bank politics, the Congress has gone down so much that it is constantly hurting the faith of Hindus. Congress President should apologize. If the name is Shiva, then you cannot be Deity Shiva. Millions of people have faith in Jyotirlingas and Kharge is calling himself a Jyotirlinga. This is a great insult to Hindus.
