London, UK – The use of Ayurveda medicines in the UK is increasing rapidly. Now the preparation for formal inclusion of Ayurveda in the British National Health Plan has started. An all-party committee has recommended Ayurveda as an effective and good system of medicine. This can be good news for Ayurveda doctors in India. Over the next 5 years, 10,000 Ayurveda doctors will be recruited in the UK. At the same time, it is estimated that the number of Ayurveda-related beauty, wellness and educational institutions in the UK will also increase from 5 to 500.

Recognition of Indian Ayurveda Degrees
Amarjit Singh Brahma, head of the UK’s Ayurveda Centre for Excellence (ACE), said, in the UK the process of inclusion of Ayurveda in the National Health Scheme is going to be completed soon. After this the ayurveda doctors who have taken an Ayurveda degree from a government recognized institution in India can apply for a job in the UK.
Increase in the number of students in Ayurveda colleges in the UK
The number of students studying Ayurveda in the UK has also increased rapidly. The number of students joining the British College for Ayurveda has increased by 70 per cent this year.
