Demand to impose ban on ISKCON, declaring it as a terrorist organisation : Islamic parties plot against ISKCON in Bangladesh

Dhaka – Bangladesh High Court recently rejected a plea demanding imposition of ban on ISKCON. Now, Islamic parties in Bangladesh have also demanded a ban on ISKCON by declaring it a terrorist organisation. Abdul Yusuf of ‘Jamiat Ulema-e-Bangladesh’ has referred to ISKCON as a terrorist organisation. In a press conference, Islamic parties have demanded an immediate ban on ISKCON by the Mohammad Yunus Government. They have also described Saints and Seers of ISKCON as armed warriors. These parties have demanded implementation of stringent Islamic laws in Bangladesh.

Two colleagues of Chinmoy Krishna Das arrested

The Police arrested two colleagues of Chinmoy Krishna Das, a member of ISKCON who was earlier arrested at Chittagong. Both had gone to give food to Chinmoy Krishna Das.

Bangladesh’s former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has criticised the Yunus Government for arresting Chinmoy Krishna Das. His arrest is illegal. An important leader of Sanatan Dharma has been unjustly arrested and he should be immediately released, asserted Sheikh Hasina.
