Eknath Shinde resigns as Chief Minister of Maharashtra

Mumbai – Eknath Shinde submitted his resignation as Chief Minister to the Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan on November 26. Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis were also present with the Chief Minister.

The Governor has accepted the resignation of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as the 5-year term of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly ends on November 26.

The Governor handed over a letter to Eknath Shinde appointing him as the ‘Caretaker Chief Minister’ to look after the affairs of the state till the formation of a new Government in the state. Eknath Shinde will look after the affairs of the state as the ‘Caretaker Chief Minister’ until the oath-taking ceremony is held to form the new Government.
