No Halal certified food to Hindu and Sikh passengers in Air India flights

New Delhi – Tata Group-owned airline Air India has decided not to serve ‘Halal’ certified meals to Hindu and Sikh passengers on its flights.

Earlier on June 17th, Congress MP from Virudhunagar in Tamil Nadu Manickam Tagore criticized Air India for classifying meals on the basis of religion. He posted a picture of Air India’s website and asked what is meant by a Hindu or Muslim meal. Along with this, he demanded action from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and asked if the RSS has taken Air India’s control. (This again shows that Congressmen cannot rest without expressing their hatred for Hindus and love for the Muslims – Editor).

What is Halal certification ?

According to Islam, ‘Halal’ means that which is ‘allowed as per Islam’. Earlier ‘Halal’ was limited to meat only; but now because religious fanatics want to build their own independent economy, household goods, medicines, cosmetics etc. too have to get ‘Halal’ certification. Some Islamic organizations are working for the same. The certificate issued by them is called a Halal Certificate.

Editorial Perspective

Why only Air India ? A similar decision should be taken for all the flight companies, as well as Government transport systems such as railways, buses, etc.
