‘Biden administration proud of strengthening ties with India’ : US State Department

Washington (USA) – The Biden administration is proud of strengthening ties with India, US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said in response to a question at a press conference. He said that our growing cooperation through the ‘Quad’ (an association of the US, India, Australia and Japan) and many shared priorities have strengthened the relationship between the two countries. It’s something we’ve focused on since day one, and now we look at it as a huge success as we step down.

India-US to share good relationship during Trump’s regime : Experts

While answering the question on the relationship between India and the US under the Trump Government, experts said that no matter which party governs the USA, its relationship with India will remain strong. This is due to China’s growing influence and India’s growing economy. Even when Donald Trump became the President in 2016, he prioritized relations with India. Therefore, it is expected that relations between the two countries will remain good after Trump returns to power. However, given Trump’s politics, there may be some problems with India as well, and the issue of economic relations is the most important of them. During the election campaign, Trump had complained about tariffs imposed by India on US goods. He had said that if he came to power, he would impose higher taxes on countries that taxed American goods higher. Now if Trump imposes higher taxes, it may hit India.

Editorial Perspective

Does the Biden administration think that engaging in anti-India activities equals having good relations with India ? If the Biden administration really wanted to have good relations with India, it would have arrested and handed over Khalistani terrorist Pannun to India. Anti-India fanatics would not have been placed in power by interfering in Bangladesh.
