Victoria (British Columbia) – Police officers of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) heavy handedly handled Hindu devotees in the vicinity of a Hindu temple in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. Besides providing protection to the Khalistanis who had come to attack the Hindu devotees who had gathered to celebrate Diwali in the premises of the temple, the Police beat the Hindus with punches and sticks. Along with this, the Police took 3 Hindu devotees there without any charge. Due to this, the temple area became tense.

A temple spokesperson expressed concern over the arrest of Hindu devotees. “The Hindu community should be patient as we await further information from the Police authorities,” the spokesperson said. The arrest has been made as part of the investigation, RCMP said.
