Chief Justice Dhananjay Chandrachud reveals

Pune – While speaking at a programme the Chief Justice of High Court, Dhananjay Chandrachud revealed, “while working in the Court many a time you are faced with difficult cases. Ayodhya decision was like that. Hearing continued for three months. The dispute which did not have a solution for hundreds of years, came to us as a challenge. We were wondering how to find solution. While performing puja at home I had asked God to help me out. I perform puja every day, that day also it was the same, I sat in front of God and said, “only You can find out solution”. If one has full faith, God does respond.” I also got solution. On 9thNovember 2019 the judgement was given on the case by the five-judge bench of the then Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Sharad Bobde, Dhananjay Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and S. Abdul Nazeer.
CJI Chandrachud added, “I have travelled all over the country. Visited many places and temples. My most favourite is the temple of Shri Yamai Devi. The temple has the most beautiful architecture in the country. I have reached this stage of life because of the blessings of my ancestors and the grace of goddess Yamai Devi I became Chief Justice of India. I am grateful for the honour you have bestowed on me.”
