Sheopur (Madhya Pradesh) – A video of Congress MLA Babu Meena Jandel making offensive remarks about Deity Shankar has surfaced on social media, sparking outrage. Following a complaint by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), the police have registered a case against Jandel. The video, which is just 11 seconds long, has caused significant controversy. In response, MLA Babu Jandel has claimed that the video is old, edited, and shared with the intent to defame him. He also stated, “I could never say such a thing.” The Congress party has backed his claim, stating the video is from 5 years ago. In response to the controversial video of Congress MLA Babu Meena Jandel making offensive remarks about Deity Shankar, BJP workers in Indore have burnt an effigy of Jandel as a sign of protest. Mahesh Sharma, the priest of Shri Mahakal Temple in Ujjain, has also joined the growing voices of protest, demanding strict action against Jandel for his remarks.

BJP’s Madhya Pradesh state president and Khajuraho MP V.D. Sharma criticized Congress in the wake of the controversial video involving MLA Babu Meena Jandel’s offensive remarks about Deity Shankar. Sharma questioned Congress’ leadership, saying, “I want to ask Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge whether this is Congress ‘Mohabbat ki dukaan’ or shop of abuses ?” He further challenged the party by asking, “What action is Congress going to take in this matter ?”
