Paris (France) – The ‘Paris Mahamaya Puja Parishad’ held a protest in Paris, France, to condemn the ongoing ethnic cleansing of minority Hindus in Bangladesh during the Durga Puja celebrations. Over a thousand Hindus from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka attended the event. Concerned about the plight of Hindus in Bangladesh, the Paris Mahamaya Puja Parishad organised the protest on 11th October at 8 pm local time, as informed by Mr Dipan Mitra, president of the European Union Chapter of the World Hindu Federation, to Sanatan Prabhat.

During the event, Mr Sukanta Sarkar, president of the Paris Mahamaya Puja Parishad, stated that attacks are not only directed at Hindus in Bangladesh, but there is also an ongoing process to expel minority Hindus from the country. He called for impartial trials and severe punishment for the perpetrators of every attack against them. He urged people around the world to stand in solidarity with the helpless Hindus in Bangladesh.
