Garba alleged to be an excuse for Love Jihad

Indore (MP) – Navratri festival has been organised for the past 35 years in the Bhavarkuva area here. Feroze Khan, the organiser, has been accused of promoting Love Jihad. The local Bajrang Dal has alleged that the programme was used to promote relationship between Hindu women and Muslim men. They also complained to the police in this regard. Due to this, this Garba programme has been cancelled due to lack of support.
1. Bajrang Dal leader Tannu Sharma said that we could not take action against this organiser earlier. This year they got the information in time and were forced to cancel the event. They also complained to the local police.
2. Khan, the organiser, said the Navratri festival had been celebrated there for the last 35 years. He had been involved in the programme’s work for 25 years and had been planning it himself for the last 15 years. He had never faced such a problem before.
3. Indore Superintendent of Police Hrishikesh Meena said that the police have no involvement in the case. They had not allowed anyone nor forced event organisers to cancel their events. The incident took place due to a dispute between local parties.
