Minority protected, while Hindus are slaughtered – Accusation by BJP MP

Belagavi / Hubballi (Karnataka) –“Minority is the culprit in the Nagamangala riots, yet the case has been registered against Hindus. Congress protects the culprits and targets Hindus, accused the BJP MP Jagdeesh Shettar. He added, whenever Congress comes to power the riots increase. Who gives them right to say that the Shri Ganesh procession cannot pass from the Mosque route ? If Mosque is under threat, provide security. Is it alright to stop entry to a particular route ?”

…Otherwise, the Hindus will also take petrol bombs and swords in their hands – Former BJP MP Pratap Singh

Government must stop Muslims from carrying petrol bomb and swords, otherwise, in the next Ganesh Idol immersion we will resort to petrol bombs and swords. Then, if the law-and-order situation goes out of hand, the government will be responsible. In various districts of the State, magnificent Shri Ganesh processions are carried out. The government must control hooligans, warned the former BJP MP Pratap Singh.

Nagamangala Police Inspector has been suspended – Karnataka Home Minister

The Police Inspector Ashok Kumar has been suspended for failing his duty during Nagamangala Muslim attacks, informed Home Minister, Dr G. Parmeshwar. The Shri Ganesh procession route was already intimated. The Inspector changed the route. There was a warning to the Police, that they would be held responsible for any untoward incident. The investigation is on at the level of the Deputy Superintendent of Police. A report about the cause of the riots has been ordered. Further action will be taken after the report is submitted.

Editorial Perspective

The Police department carries out Home Minister’s orders.  Hence, one may obviously think that to defend Congress government the Additional DGP is highlighting the mistakes of the Police Department.
