Prayagraj – The Netra Kumbha in Sector 6 of Maha Kumbha Nagari is receiving a very good response from the people. So far, 19,000 people have had their eyes checked. Every day, 4,000 people get their eyes checked, while 3,000 glasses are distributed free of cost, informed Satyavijay Singh, General Manager of Netra Kumbha, while talking to the representative of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’.

Satyavijay Singh further said, “The area of ​​Netra Kumbha is spread over 10 acres. It is being run in collaboration with ‘Saksham’ organization, ‘Bhaurao Trust, ‘Rajju Bhaiya Seva Trust, ‘Hans Foundation’, ‘Enmo’, a large organization of doctors, etc. The Uttar Pradesh Government is providing us with basic facilities like accommodation, electricity etc. The work of Netra Kumbha started in the year 2019. Even then, it received a good response. At that time, 2 lakh 2 thousand people were screened. Similarly, 1 lakh 55 thousand glasses were distributed. It was then realized that the number of people affected by eye diseases in the country is high. In the year 2025, we have set a target of screening 5 lakh people. 3 lakh glasses will be distributed free of cost to the needy. We are working jointly with 219 organizations across the country working on eye diseases. Every day, our 40 doctors sit in the outpatient department (OPD). We send the patients to major hospitals related to us according to their diseases. We refer the patient to the relevant institution in the State in India where he is located, and he will receive free services there.”

The Baba Ranchoddas Charitable Trust in Rajkot, Gujarat distributes spectacles free of cost to patients. This organization also provides Mahaprasad to 15,000 devotees every day during the Maha Kumbha Mela.
