HC orders Censor Board to take a decision only after hearing Sikh organisations’ side

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh) – The hurdles in getting permission for ‘Emergency’, starring actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut in the lead role, are increasing day by day. On the one hand, for exposing the ugly truth of the Emergency era of the Congress; it is being opposed by its leaders by tooth and nail. On the other hand, two Sikh organisations have now objected to the trailer of the film by filing a petition in the Jabalpur divisional bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court. The Court has banned the release of the film. The Court has also directed the Censor Board to first listen to the views of representatives of the Sikh community and then only certify the film.

1. ‘Jabalpur Sikh Sangat’ and ‘Sri Guru Singh Sabha Indore’ had filed a petition seeking a ban on the film.

2. Deputy Solicitor General of the Board, Pushpendra Yadav, replied before a divisional bench of Chief Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva and Justice Vinay Saraf.

3. Yadav said that only the number of online certificate has been issued to the film. Other certificates are yet to be issued.

4. The film has already been banned in Congress-ruled Telangana.

Editorial Perspective

The petition, filed by Sikh organisations, shows that the entire machinery is working on this anti-Congress film. There have been hundreds of films made till date that mocked Hindu Dharma; however, they were not opposed and the Government machinery was not made to work against them. This is due to lack of awareness among Hindus. This is shameful for Hindus.
