Mumbai – ‘A Muslim Central Board should be established in the country, which includes people who have a passion for sacrifice. All Muslims should blindly accept the decisions of this board’, Maulana Tauqeer Raza, President of the Ittihad-e-Millat Council, said at an event. Several leaders and Muslim clerics, including Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi, were present on this occasion. The event was titled ‘Muslim Leadership Summit 2024’, chaired by Maulana Khalil-ur- Rahman Sajjad Nomani Nadvi. The event was organised by the Muslim Welfare Association.
Muslims are being turned into second-class citizens
Tauqeer Raza further stated that Muslims should worry about preserving their existence. He accused that Muslims are being turned into second-class citizens in the country and expressed sorrow over the lack of honour and respect for Muslims in the country. It is very sad that Muslims are accused of Love Jihad, and it is of greatest concern that this country has fallen into the hands of irresponsible people.
Shia cleric advises Raza to visit every Muslim household
Shia (a sect of Muslims) cleric Saif Abbas criticised Tauqeer Raza’s statements, saying that while what Raza is saying is correct, he should first step forward himself, visit every Muslim household, and then speak. Abbas also remarked that while it is true that Muslims currently do not have a single leader, and there cannot be just one leader, the concept of Love Jihad does not exist. (If that is the case, then why do Muslim youths lure Hindu girls into love traps by hiding their identities and claiming to be Hindu ? Why do they convert Hindu girls to Islam and forcibly marry them ? Why is Abbas silent on these questions ? Why does he not condemn the Muslim youths who engage in such actions ? – Editor)
Those who consider India an Islamic State will be taught to stay within constitutional limits, BJP warns
BJP’s national spokesperson Prem Shukla said that even if 100 generations of Tauqeer Raza come, the Ghazwa-e-Hind (Islamization of India) will not happen in India. He added that those who consider India an Islamic state will be taught to stay within the constitutional boundaries. Tauqeer Raza, who incites Muslims in the country, is the most irresponsible person, said Shukla. He further stated that such people would be dealt with within the constitutional framework.
Controversial statements made earlier by Tauqeer Raza
1. Tauqeer Raza had said about Gyanvapi that all the lies told in the Ayodhya case were tolerated, but now they will no longer tolerate it. Law and religion are being mocked by treating the fountain as Shivalinga.
2. In 2022, Raza warned at a meeting that the day Muslim youth are forced to take the law into their hands, Hindus will have nowhere to hide in India.
3. In 2007, he issued a fatwa against Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen, announcing a reward of ₹5 lakh for anyone who would behead her.
