Over 200 Rohingya Muslims thrash Hindu family and vandalise idols of Deities

• A Muslim greeted a Hindu saying ‘Salam Walekum’, which was replied as ‘Jai Shriram’ by the Hindu, which angered the Muslim

Kolkata (Bengal) – In the village of Nimta Paikpara, located 14 km from the capital Kolkata, a mob of over 200 Rohingya Muslims attacked a Hindu family. The mob stormed the house, broke the idols of Deities, and brutally thrashed the Hindu family. The BJP has released a video of this incident, in which the victim Hindu woman recounts the ordeal. The attack allegedly stemmed from an earlier encounter in which a Muslim greeted a Hindu man named Vishwajit Mandal with ‘Salam Walekum’, to which Vishwajit responded as ‘Jai Shriram’. Infuriated by this, the mob targeted Vishwajit’s home.

The attack reportedly took place at night. During the assault, when Vishwajit Mandal’s wife pleaded with the attackers, they sexually harassed her and issued a threat asking the family to leave the house as soon as possible and move elsewhere.
