If anyone interferes in the matters of Bangladesh, the situation of India will also worsen

Bangladesh Home Minister Hossain threatens

Dhaka, Bangladesh – Interim Government takes office in Bangladesh, but incidents of violence continued in some cities. Home Minister of Bangladesh (Adviser on Home Affairs) Brigadier General (Retd) M. Sakhawat Hussain has assured security to minorities including Hindus. India should help Bangladesh as a neighbour; but interference in our internal affairs should be avoided. He has said in an interview that if India interferes with the internal sources of Bangladesh, the situation will not improve.

Hussain further said that we did not expect India to help Sheikh Hasina. However, India and Bangladesh are not at war over Kashmir. He further said that former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had alleged that the US created chaos in Bangladesh by not handing over St. Martin’s Island to the US. When asked about it, Hussain said that this statement is ridiculous. St. Martin’s Island is not even worth mounting a large antenna. It is only three kilometres long. She is trying to divert attention.

Editorial Perspective

After Pakistan, now tiny Bangladesh has also started threatening India. When will India adopt an aggressive approach against both of these countries ?
