Washington, US — Former President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was the victim of a fatal attack a few days ago. He narrowly escaped this deadly attack. While the attackers’ identity is still unknown, there are reports indicating that Iran may have been involved. Trump has addressed the attack through his social media channels. “If Iran were to kill me, America will wipe Iran off the world map,” Trump declared. In response, Iran has denied the allegations against them.
In 2018, during Trump’s presidency, he withdrew from the nuclear agreement with Iran that was negotiated under Obama. This move had a profound effect on Iran’s economy. In 2020, the US carried out a drone strike that killed Iran’s military chief, Qassem Soleimani, escalating tensions between the two countries. Following the attack, Iran issued multiple threats against Trump and his administration in retaliation. In January 2022, former Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi called for Trump to be prosecuted by the International Court of Justice.
