Four Muslim J&K govt employees dismissed for aiding Jihadi terrorists

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) – Four Muslim Government employees involved in collecting weapons and funds for terrorists, as well as distributing drugs in Kashmir through Pakistani smugglers, have been dismissed from their jobs. Among these, two were Police officers, one was an education department employee, and one was a Panchayati Raj worker. Their names are Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone, Bazil Ahmad Mir, Mushtaq Ahmad Pir, and Mohd Zaid Shah.

Security agencies had found the activities of these four persons suspicious, and they were investigating them. They were dismissed for violating employment rules. These employees brought drugs from Pakistan and sold in Kashmir and used the proceeds to fund terrorism.

Action taken against 55 employees so far

Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha stated in a press conference that the Government has taken action against at least 55 employees with links to terrorists. The Government has also established a task force to identify such employees.

Editorial Perspectives

  • They should not just be dismissed but also criminally charged, imprisoned, and subjected to harsh punishments.
  • Since terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir ‘has a religion’ and there are majority of Muslims there, many Muslims are aiding terrorists. Because of this, separatist like Rashid Engineer was elected as MP from there. Unless this mentality is eradicated, it will be difficult to eliminate terrorism in Kashmir.
