Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh) – 5 people were injured, of which one is in a critical condition in an attack by fanatic Muslims on Hindus during Muharram procession in Gausganj area here. These Hindus had opposed the change of the route of Muharram procession. This year, the procession was planned through Hindu-majority area instead of the usual route. The Hindus opposed it and asked to take the processions along the same route. Angered by this, more than 100 religious fanatics attacked the Hindus by breaking into their houses. After getting information about the incident, when the Police arrived in large numbers, the fanatic Muslims started running away. 10 of them have been arrested. (Where were the Policemen hiding during Muharram processions who otherwise remain present during Hindu processions ? Such a mistake is not expected in the BJP governed Uttar Pradesh State – Editor).
