A robot commits suicide in South Korea

Unable to bear the stress of work, the robot jumped down the stairs

Seoul (South Korea) – A robot committed suicide due to overwork by jumping down the stairs. An inquiry is going to be conducted whether it was suicide or not. This is the world’s first case of a robot committing suicide due to work pressure.

This robot was working for the municipality. It has been helping the people of Gumi City in the administrative work for the last year. A few days earlier, it was found lying idle under the stairs. Some people had seen the robot moving around before falling down the stairs.

According to the information given by the municipal official, the spare parts of the robot have been collected. Those parts will be analysed by the company that manufactured it.
