President of Sri Lanka Wickremesinghe openly acknowledges
Colombo (Sri Lanka) – Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe has admitted for the first time that India’s help has helped his country emerge from its worst economic crisis in two years. All this was made possible by the financial assistance of Rs 29,000 crore (350 crore dollars) received from India. All of them will also be reimbursed. Speaking at the 31st All India Partnership meeting here, Wickremesinghe said that renewable energy is an important area where both countries will work jointly. When I discussed the need to speed up the joint program with Prime Minister Modi in my previous meeting, to which Prime Minister Modi has agreed. We have discussed several proposals.
