Beijing (China) – ‘Congratulations to BJP and National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s election victory. We look forward to healthy and stable relations between China and India’, the Chinese Foreign Ministry has sent this congratulatory message to Prime Minister Modi. However, Chinese President Xi Jinping has yet to congratulate PM Modi.

Indian External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal accepted China’s wishes and said, ” We will continue to work towards normalisation of relations between India and China on the basis of mutual interest and mutual sensitivity.”
