Chinese Government mouthpiece Global Times opines
Beijing (China) – With the results of India’s Lok Sabha elections set to be announced on 4thJune, predictions indicate that the BJP will return to power. In this context, the Chinese Government’s mouthpiece ‘Global Times’ has published a report based on these projections. The report states that if Modi is re-elected, he will continue to pursue his domestic and foreign policy objectives. His focus would be on making India the third-largest economy in the world, following the US and China, within a few years.
The report includes comments from Qian Feng, Director of the Research Department of the National Strategy Institute at Tsinghua University. Feng highlighted that Modi’s strategic perspective involves continuous efforts to enhance India’s global influence through diplomatic means. The Prime Minister’s vision is to make India a leading power. The report also expresses hope that there will be no conflict between India and China.
