Ordered registering complaint at the Tuljapur Police Station : Director General of Police

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar – The State Government has given permission of filing a complaint about the donation box scam worth Rs 8 crore 45 lakh 97 thousand at Shri Tuljabhavani Devi Mandir. They have sent a letter to the State CID with this order. The Sate CID Police Superintendent Subhash Nikam has filed a complaint at the Tuljapur Police Station under sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 406, 409 of the IPC. Sambhajinagar CID’s Police Superintendent Sachin Patil will be in-charge of the investigation. The order has been given by Director General Prashant Burde.

In this case, CID’s Pune branch has accused 42 officers and staff members for this scam. They include 9 sub-divisional officers, 9 tehsildars, 10 contractors and 14 temple staff members. Departmental inquiry of 11 senior IAS officers has also been recommended. Also 8 former corporators and MLA’s who were trustees of the temple have been accused of negligence.

Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti fought against the scam

In this context, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti held a press conference on 17thMay at Dharashiv and demanded that criminal cases should be filed against all the accused and a time limit should be set to run the case. Present at this meeting were Advocate Pujya Suresh Kulkarni, Sunil Ghanwat, Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh branch, Kishor Gangane of the Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh, Advocate Shirish Kulkarni, Coordinator of the Hindu Janjagruti Samiti’s Dharashiv division Rajan Bunage. This order has been given only because of the efforts of Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.
