Sanatan Sanstha’s seekers acquitted in Dr Dabholkar murder case

Pune – On 10th May 2024, Special Judge P P Jadhav delivered the verdict on Dr Narendra Dabholkar murder case, which has been pending since last 11 years. Dr Dabholkar was the founder of Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti and the case was highly discussed across Maharashtra. The Court acquitted Dr Virendra Singh Tawde related to the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Vikram Bhave of Sanatan Sanstha and Advocate Sanjeev Punalekar of the Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad due to lack of evidence. Dr Tawde was allegedly the key accused according to the CBI.

The Court found other 2 accused, Sachin Andure and Sharad Kalaskar guilty as charged. The District and Sessions Court (Pune) sentenced them to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh. Special Public Prosecutor Advocate Prakash Suryavanshi represented CBI and the Government in this case. This verdict cleared all charges against Dr Virendra Singh Tawde, and he would be released after eight long years.

Sharad Kalaskar and Sachin Andure

While delivering the verdict, the honourable judge said, “The investigating agency accused Dr Tawde to be the mastermind in this case; however, they could not provide evidence before the Court to prove the same. Also, it could not prove allegations against Vikram Bhave and Advocate Sanjeev Punalekar.” Sanatan Sanstha and its seekers were framed in this case since the beginning without any evidence. This verdict once again proves that ‘the truth can be rattled, not defeated’.

Sachin Andure and Sharad Kalaskar will get justice in the High Court

Devout Hindus were implicated in Dr Dabholkar murder case, only to prove the myth of ‘Saffron terrorism’. With due respect to the honourable Court, we say that today, unfortunately, Sachin Andure and Sharad Kalaskar, two devout Hindus, were sentenced to life imprisonment; but in fact, both have been framed. Earlier too, many devout Hindus were implicated in various cases in the same way to prove the myth of ‘Hindu terrorism’. Sanatan Sanstha stood firmly behind them and will continue to do so. We believe that they will get justice from the High Court.

Advocates who fiercely represented the accused

Bombay High Court’s fierce lawyer Virendra Ichalkaranjikar, Advocate Prakash Salsingikar and Advocate (Mrs) Suvarna Vats Avhad represented the accused in this case. The investigating agencies had conspired to ruin the lives of the accused using false evidence and fake witnesses. However, these advocates fiercely fought this legal battle with laser-sharp and precise arguments and counter-arguments based on a sound understanding of the false narrative built by the agencies.

The investigating agencies failed to produce concrete evidence

While delivering the verdict, the honourable judge said, “The investigating agencies suspected Dr Tawade to be the key conspirator; however, they could not produce concrete evidence to prove their suspicion. Hence, the Court acquits Dr Tawade.” The verdict also proved the other accusation against Vikram Bhave and Advocate Sanjeev Punalekar that they aided the destruction of the weapon used for the crime as baseless.

The Court revokes UAPA against all the suspects

All the accused in the Dabholkar murder case were booked by the CBI under UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act). The Court has revoked this serious charge against all the accused. While striking down the charge, the judge said, “Due to the negligence shown by the authorities, UAPA could not be proven.”

Tight slap to ANiS, pseudo-liberals, Congress members and Communists

By taking the name of Dr Dabholkar murder case, Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti (ANS), pseudo-liberals, Congress members and communists and some anti-Hindu media were constantly calling for a ban on Sanatan Sanstha and wanted the Government to declare Sanatan a ‘terrorist organisation’. Sanatan Sanstha’s innocence has been proved once again due to the verdict given by the Court. This is a tight slap in the face of ANS, pseudo-liberals, Congress members and Communists, who have been blaming Sanatan Sanstha since the beginning.

Brief history of the murder case

Dr Narendra Dabholkar

1. Dr Narendra Dabholkar was shot dead on 20th August 2013 at Maharshi Vitthal Shinde bridge in Pune. The public prosecutor claimed that the murder took place when Dabholkar went out for a ‘morning walk’. In this case, charges were filed against 5 people by the public prosecutor. Dr Virendra Singh Tawade was accused of being the mastermind, Sachin Andhure and Sharad Kalaskar were charged of shooting Dabholkar, while Vikram Bhave and Advocate Sanjeev Punalekar were charged of helping to destroy the murder weapon.

2. The suspects were booked under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 302 (murder), 120B (conspiracy), 34 and related sections of the Arms Act, as well as UAPA.

3. On 15th September 2021, the trial started after fixing the charges against all the accused. In this case, 20 witnesses were examined by the public prosecutor. Key witnesses included CBI investigating officer S R Singh and Dr Dabholkar’s son Hamid Dabholkar.

On 12th June 2016, Dr Tawade’s arrest news was published in the ‘Daily Sanatan Prabhat’. We commented on the news that ‘Just as Kanchi Peethadhiswar Swami Jayendra Saraswati was acquitted from the accusations of anti-Hindus, the accusations against Sadhvi Pragya Singh were also proven false, Sanatan will also be proven innocent in the future.’ Today, on 10th May 2024, Sanatan has been proven innocent.
