Will not allow implementation of CAA, NRC, and Uniform Civil Code in Bengal

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s anti-national outburst at an Eid program

(CAA stands for Citizenship Amendment Act, NRC stands for National Register of Citizens)

Kolkata (Bengal) – In a recent program held on Eid, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made a declaration that she will oppose the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act, the National Register of Citizens, and the Uniform Civil Code in Bengal. She also appealed that some people will try to engineer riots during the elections but you should not fall prey to the plot. (Mamata Banerjee should speak about how religious fanatic Muslim activists of Trinamool Congress are doing riots during Hindu festivals – Editor)

Mamata Banerjee said,

1. In this election, certain individuals want to scare the citizens by showing fear of investigation agencies. Central Investigation Department, Enforcement Directorate, Income Tax Department etc. have targeted some people. I will tell (them) that you can construct prisons in many places and put all in them but can you put 130 crore people in jail ? I am ready to shed blood for the country but this oppression will not be tolerated. (In Bengal, religious fanatic Muslims are oppressing Hindus, neighbouring Bangladesh is also oppressing Bengali Hindus. Mamata Banerjee never utters a word about it – Editor)

2. As the elections are approaching, attempts are being made to engage Muslim leaders by reaching out to them via telephone. During elections, you (BJP) are picking some Muslims and asking them what they want. I am telling you that they do not want anything.

3. If anyone comes to riot, you should keep quiet. If there is a blast, they (BJP) will send the National Investigation Agency to arrest everyone. By arresting everyone, your country will become desolate. We want a beautiful sky for which everyone must stay together. If we stay together, no one can harm us.

4. Trinamool Congress’s fight is against the BJP. We will decide after the elections whether we will join forces with the INDI alliance or not. But in Bengal, please see that no vote goes to any other party.

Editorial Perspectives

  • Being CM of Bengal, Mamata Banerjee is defying the laws that are democratically approved in the Parliament. The Governments of such anti-national leaders must be dissolved immediately by the Union Government, and a Presidential rule should be imposed to curb such an undemocratic narrative.
  • Patriots in Bengal should oppose this stand of Mamta Banerjee, whose traitorous intention is only to appease minorities.
