Islamabad (Pakistan) – Pakistan’s security has been exposed due to increasing attacks on the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Pakistan’s military and security forces are failing to provide security to the project, China has claimed. China will deploy its forces in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces for CPEC.
Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong conveyed President Xi Jinping’s message to Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. In the last 7 days, 3 Chinese officers were injured in attacks by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) on Gwadar port, while 5 Chinese engineers were killed in an attack by tribals in Khyber. Pakistan had formed a special security force of 15,000 soldiers for the security of Chinese nationals in CPEC. Even after that, 30 Chinese nationals have been killed in the last 2 years.
