Colombo (Sri Lanka) – Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe has praised India, stating, “By emulating India, our country can move forward.” He was speaking at an event.
President Wickremesinghe further stated,
We need assistance in terms of technical expertise and institutional establishment. India is the best option for this. Last year, I discussed this with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and received a positive response.
India discovered the concept of zero and then progressed further. Today, it has made significant advancements. I can say that the way India has progressed is worth understanding and we can apply similar methods in our country. We are emulating what India is doing in terms of digital infrastructure. We would certainly like to match India’s level.
