5,000-6,000 terrorists of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) are in Afghanistan : Pakistan

Islamabad (Pakistan) – Pakistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan Asif Durrani has claimed that there are 5,000-6,000 terrorists of the terrorist organisation ‘Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan’ (TTP) in Afghanistan. Speaking at an event organised by the Pakistan Institute for Peace Studies in Islamabad, Durrani said that if we include the families of terrorists, the figure is more than 70,000. Two days ago, 2 officers and 7 soldiers of the Pakistan Army were killed in a TTP attack.

Asif Durrani added that several attempts at peace talks between Pakistan and the TTP have failed. TTP terrorists are neither ready to surrender nor ready to accept the Constitution of Pakistan. As the interim Government of Afghanistan is not able to meet the daily expenses of such a large number of people, someone seems to be paying them. TTP terrorists have not even been proven to face the law for their other crimes, including the attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar. The TTP is a threat to Pakistan and the Pakistan Government has clearly told the Taliban Government that the TTP militants will have to surrender and lay down their arms.

Editorial Perspective

It should not be wrong if anyone says that Pakistan, which has carried out terror activities by sending terrorists to India, is now bearing the fruits of its sin through TTP.
