Terrorist involved in the Bengaluru (Karnataka) Rameshwaram Café bomb blast headed towards Pune

Investigation by the National Investigation Agency continues

Pune – The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has suspicion that the suspected terrorist in the Rameshwaram Cafe bombing case in Bengaluru (Karnataka) had come from Bengaluru by bus after the bomb blast on 1st March. An investigation has been begun in that regard. After detonating the bomb, the suspected terrorist took a bus to Ballari in Karnataka. It is suspected that the terrorist took a bus from Ballari station to Hospet, Gokarna in Karnataka. The National Investigation Agency has received information that he came towards Pune by bus from there; however, it is not possible to say whether the suspected terrorist reached Pune or he changed the bus on the way, said the NIA officials.

The investigative agencies of Karnataka have given information about this to the Pune-Mumbai teams of NIA; but the suspected terrorist’s whereabouts cannot be said for sure.

How exactly did the suspected terrorist went is being investigated. CCTV footage from Ballari, Hospet, Bhatkal, Gokarna bus stations in Bangalore is being acquired. Identification of the suspect through filming is underway.
