What steps is the Government taking for the safety of Sikhs ? – Gill
Preet Kaur Gill said, “In recent months, the ‘Five Eyes’ countries (the intelligence alliance of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the US and Britain) have expressed concern over the actions of India-linked operatives targeting Sikh activists in Britain. Some assassination plots have been thwarted. The US and Canada have made such cases public. Such incidents are a challenge to their sovereignty and their democratic values. Considering the news that British Sikhs are facing similar threats, what steps is the Government taking for their safety ?”

Britain will take immediate action – Security Minister Tom Tugendhat
Responding to the question from MP Preet Kaur Gill, British Security Minister Tom Tugendhat said, “If any British citizen is threatened by any foreign national, we will take immediate action.” (Britain is yet to take strict action against the Khalistanis who attacked the Indian embassy in London, while attacks on Hindus by religious fanatics
have become a routine. So this statement by the Security Minister is meaningless ! – Editor). The Sikh community has the right to live safely in Britain like any other community. Whatever be the British citizens’ colour, religion, faith or political stand, they are all equal.”
Earlier, Canada accused India of the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada, while the US also accused India for alleged conspiracy to kill Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, head of the banned Khalistani terrorist organisation ‘ Sikhs for Justice’. Now, an accusation has been made by a member of parliament in Britain.
