Alandi (District Pune), 11th February – ‘Four Saints have passed away in one family in Maharashtra. We have been receiving their blessings for hundreds of years. It was in Maharashtra that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was blessed by Samarth Ramdas Swami. He challenged the power of Aurangzeb. Maharashtra is the land of bravery and prowess, because there is a presence of Saints here’, glorified Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Alandi. On 11th of February he was speaking at the programme of H.H. Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj’s ‘Gita Bhakti Amrit Mahotsav’ which was organised in front of ‘Warkari Education Institute’.

This programme was attended by H.H. Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, Yogrishi Baba Ramdev, Minister Chandrakant Patil, Dilip Walse Patil, MLA Dilip Mohite Patil, Uma Khapre etc. On this occasion, Yogi Adityanath was honoured by Jagadguru Shankaracharya Shri Vijayendra Saraswati Maharaj’s Holy hands by gifting ‘Jiretop’ like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj used to wear. The 8th day of the festival started with ‘Anandotsava’. More than 15,000 devotees participated in it.

Yogi Adityanath further said, “I have the privilege of coming to the holy land of Alandi today. I have been working for Sanatan Dharma. Today we bow down to the land of Shri Dnyaneshwar Maharaj. When I was very young, I read Dnyaneshwari written by Sri Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and ever since I wanted to come to Alandi. My wish is fulfilled today. This holy event is organised with full Grandeur and Divinity. For the past 75 years, Swamiji has worked tirelessly and devotedly for Vedic Sanatan Dharma. This festival is an opportunity to express gratitude for the work undertaken by H.H. Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj.”
