New Delhi – Who was secretly involved in letting Mohandas Gandhi die ? Which Government wanted Gandhi to die ? The bullets fired by Nathuram Godse and bullets taken out from Gandhi’s body were different. Gandhi was fired from a different side. Gandhi did not die due to the bullets fired by Nathuram Godse. Who was, therefore, behind Gandhi’s assassination ? Asked Ranjit Savarkar, the Executive Chairman of ‘Swatantraveer Savarkar Rashtriya Smarak (SSRS)’ in his address at the book launching function held on 29th January 2024. Ranjit Savarkar has authored the book, in English, titled ‘Make Sure Gandhi is Dead’. The eminent guests, who attended the programme, were Rajiv Soni, the former Editor of The Economics Times and a political analyst and advocate Virendra Ichalkaranjikar, the National President of Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad (HVP).
The authors who edited this book, viz. Mangesh Joshi, Dhananjay Shinde, Anil Trivedi, and Deepak Kanulkar were felicitated on the occasion by the dignitaries. The programme was conducted by Manjiri Marathe, the Treasurer of SSRS.
Ranjit Savarkar stated –
Nathuram Godse was a member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS); therefore, a ban was imposed on RSS and Hindu Mahasabha.
Gandhi uttered ‘Hey Ram’ while breathing his last. The grave sin that was suppressed in the name of Shriram will be exposed through this book.
Gandhi did not die due to the bullets fired by Nathuram Godse. Colonel Taneja had very carefully prepared its report.
Nathuram Godse was not a seasoned criminal; therefore, his aim could not have been so perfect to hit the target. Considering all these proofs, Godse didn’t kill Gandhi. Gandhi died due to the shots fired by others. The people, who did it, need to be investigated.
After this incident, Vallabhbhai Patel’s group was finished by Congress and India started directly trading with the United Kingdom, which benefited Nehru and Britain.
I appeal to the Union Government to set up a commission like the Kapur Commission, which was set up twenty years after Gandhi’s assassination, and expose all the concealed proofs. An enquiry should be started about the buried proofs of Gandhi’s assassination.
Pressure to stop the release of this book !
Ranjit Savarkar also disclosed that he was pressurised to stop the release of his book ‘Make Sure Gandhi is Dead’. Many publishers refused to publish this book at the last moment, but he published it on his own.
What exactly is the truth ? – Advocate Virendra Ichalkaranjikar, National President, HVP
Gandhi is known to be the ‘Father’ of the nation; therefore, it was the duty of the Government to provide necessary security to him and till a few days before his assassination, such security was provided to him by the members of the Congress Party or the Police. Why was his security was withdrawn ? Why were the medicines required by Gandhi not available at the exact moment ? Gandhi was alive for about 28 minutes after being shot. Why were no attempts made to save his life during that time ? An attempt was made on his life on 20th January 1948 which was unsuccessful. Madan Lal Pahwa was arrested. A few names from Maharashtra were dropped by him; based on which, it was easy to arrest Nathuram Godse. Still, the Police didn’t conduct any investigation and Gandhi was shot again on 30th January. The individuals, who didn’t conduct any investigation, were never punished.
The bullets and the wounds caused by the pistol, alleged to have been used for firing, didn’t match. When the point where the bullet entered and the direction from where it came out is observed, it seems to be the work of a person who was taller than Nathuram Godse. There was not much difference in the height of Nathuram Godse and Gandhi. How he was wounded, was never investigated. The ‘Panchnama’ recorded by the Police about the spots where the bullets and cartridges were found, was faulty. The Judge did not ask questions in this context. Since Nathuram Godse admitted that he killed Gandhi, there was no cross-examination of the important witnesses. What was, however, the truth and what exactly happened, should have been found by judges. They should have asked questions.
Who are the people who protected the offenders ? – Rajiv Soni, former Editor of The Economic Times and a political analyst
The release of this book is the starting of a movement. Godse did not kill Gandhi, but it was a plot hatched by different people. They were protected under the conspiracy. Hence, it will have to be found out who were the people, who were to be benefitted by this assassination. It is now the need of the hour to find out who were the people who protected the offenders.
