Samajwadi Party MP Ramjila Suman

Agra (Uttar Pradesh) – Samajwadi Party MP Ramjilal Suman, who referred to Maharana Sanga, the king of Mewar, as a ‘traitor’ during a speech in the Rajya Sabha, was subsequently attacked by Karni Sena activists at his residence. The attackers vandalized vehicles and furniture outside the property. In response, the police used force, resorting to a lathicharge to control the situation. It has been reported that several officers sustained injuries during the incident. A strong police contingent has now been stationed at the area.

Suman had criticized Rana Sanga for allegedly inviting Babur to India. However, historians assert that Rana Sanga never extended such an invitation to Babur, to fight against Ibrahim Lodi, the ruler of India at that time.

Editorial Perspective

Such MP should be booked and sent to jail, and his MP status should be revoked, only then will others realize to think 10 times before making such statements.
