Hindu Rashtra-jagruti Sabha held at Varanasi a Demand was made to repeal ‘Places of Worship Act, 1991’
Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) – Various demands were made in Hindu Rashtra-jagruti Sabha, a public rally held at Shastri Ghat such as passing of a law to promptly stop continuous insult of Bhagawan Shriram, Shriram Mandir, ‘Shriramcharitmanas’, etc. and to repeal ‘The Places of Worship Act, 1991’ for removing all obstacles in Hindus entering Kashi, Mathura, Bhojshala, Qutub Minar, etc., the big temples like Shriram Mandir. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) held a public rally at Shastri Ghat. The rally concluded with submitting a memorandum to the State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Home Minister, and the Law and Justice Minister, through the medium of District Collector. The meeting was also attended by office bearers of different pro-Hindu organisations, Sadguru Nilesh Singbal, ‘Dharmaprasarak’ of HJS, Mr Rajan Kesari, etc.
It was stated in the rally that as per ‘The Places of Worship Act, 1991’ if a Hindu temple was attacked before 1947, it cannot be challenged in any Court nor can any case be filed, whereas ‘Waqf Board’ has been extended all rights for laying claim on any property. In a way, the Congress Government has passed such discriminating laws that were favourable to the Muslims and the heavy hand of law for the Hindus. The Modi Government should repeal this Act.
Many controversial statements, hurting people’s sentiments such as ‘Bhagawan Shriram used to consume meat’, are being made across the country e.g. in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, etc. Incidents of even burning copies of ‘Shriramcharitmanas’ are being reported. Owaisi has been inciting Muslims to rebuild Babri. Bhagawan Shriram is worshipped in India. Every citizen must stop Bhagawan Shriram’s insult right now, there is the presence of Bhagawan Shriram in Shriram Temple. An open appeal was made in the rally to name the Act as ‘Criticism against Shriram Act’ which should also provide for preventing denigration of any Deity in this country.
