Japan develops a rocket engine which can run on a fuel made by Cow dung

Tokyo (Japan) – A company called Interstellar Technologies in Japan has successfully prepared fuel from cow dung and operated a rocket engine with it. When this fuel was tested, flames were emitted from the rocket reaching distance up to 15 meters. A video of this accomplishment has been shared on their website. The company that developed this rocket is working towards developing even larger rockets.

A news article on this incident has been published on the website ‘Baron’. The fuel was tested in Taiki, Japan. The fuel made from cow dung is called ‘biomethane’. The required Cow dung was procured from the local people who were rearing cows. They first developed a gas from the dung, then a fuel.

Takahiro Inagawa, the CEO of Interstellar Technologies, said that the fuel made from cow dung will not only benefit the environment but can also be used locally. It is cheap and pure. We cannot force the whole world to use it, But we as a private establishment are using it extensively.

Interstellar has also signed an agreement with Airwater, which is a company that collects biogas from farmers. They also have a big cowshed which is used to make biogas from cow dung.

Tomohiro Nishikawa, one of the engineers involved in this experiment, said that cows in this area have a lot of potential. Japan should develop a fuel source that does not depend on foreign nations.

Local villagers and herdsmen are happy as fuel made from cow dung is being used for rocket engines. They have expressed joy at the fact that rockets are being flown with such fuel. These villagers have also appealed to the Japanese government to take an initiative in this sector.
